I’m so excited to share these two cards with you today! This week I have been busy trying to get some Halloween cards together to show!
Halloween in Australia is steadily being celebrated by more people each year (with a fair few party-poopers trying to rain on our spooky parades) but there isn’t yet a huge demand for Halloween cards unless you have family or friends who you know enjoy celebrating all things creepy.
But this doesn’t stop me from getting in on the Halloween card making fun!
I decided to make two Halloween cards in the same day, and after planning the first I realised that these designs would fit in well with the current challenge – something that I definitely want to participate in more regularly!
These little mice are just so cute! I have loved using them in many cards already so it was just a matter of time before I found a way to include them in a Halloween card. As I went through my stamp sets I came across my Baked With Love stamp set and thought that these little mice would be adorable in a spooky baking scene!
For my second card, I went with the small “Trick or Treat” stamp set. This one is a couple of years old and I’ve had it for a while but I haven’t used it much. I thought with a simple wreath, this could be a perfect candidate for the challenge.
This card is SO simple, almost too simple. When I finished making it I kept thinking that maybe it needed something else? But I already had a sentiment, the wreath and the images had dimension so I left it as is. It’s actually grown on my quite a lot looking at it over the last few days and while editing the video for YouTube.
