Hello!
Something exciting to share with you today! I recently saw a call by a crafter (@hooklineandinker) on instagram for crafters to participate in a Valentine’s YouTube Hop. So far, I’ve only been a part of one hop, so I was a little nervous to branch out into others, knowing how much I have going on at the moment (more coming on that, soon!).
I was so happy to be accepted as one of the 20 crafters in this hop and was thrilled to be part of such an amazing lineup! If you’re after some crafty Valentines card inspiration, I hope you’ll check out the hop!
Onto what I made!
For this hop, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to use a design I was waiting to use. I had recently purchased the Lawn Fawn Selfie Frames, and although I was really keen to use the phone die, this idea with the polaroid seemed too cute not make straight away!
This card was super simple to make. For the stamps, I used the “Let’s Go Nuts” stamp set for the squirrels and the “Conversation Heart How You Bean Add-On” for the hearts.
My colouring was done with four copies and and one alcohol marker – making colouring a quick job.
The little polaroid shakers were another quick and easy step. I cut two pieces of white card stock for each and sandwiched a piece of clear acetate between them for my window. I use super thin strips of kids craft foam around the edges on the back – I was really surprised that just one layer of the foam gave enough depth for my clay heart sprinkles to move around freely!
If you would like to see how I made this card, I will include a link to my video below.
Enjoy the hop!
