Hello!
I’m back with another Magic Maker project for Hobby Hoppers. This is my favourite time each month, working with this awesome, small Aussie business to show off what great crafty supplies the owner, Trish, stocks in the shop!
I’ll admit, when I first saw the Platform Pop Up, I thought it looked awesome, but not special. I’ve worked with countless SVGs and 3D projects with my Cricut and metal dies.
It wasn’t until I started watching the design team videos that mind was quickly changed. I don’t think I’ve quite seen any interactive card that moves this way. It changed my view from “Looks like fun, but not for me” to “I NEED this die the moment it goes live on Hobby Hoppers”. I don’t think I’ve ever checked out so quickly.
This month’s project features the Platform Pop Up, Toucan Do it stamp set and tropical leaves from two die sets.
I actually made quite the mistake when assembly the base of this card. I was just too excited to get it all together, I completely skipped the step to add the third “T” and adhere the two halves together. Lucky for me, it was an easy fix!
I went with a simple, pastel colour scheme for this, using colours from my small comic collection. I did my best to match the colours of the papers for continuity. I just love how it all came together!
This card was truly so much fun to make, don’t be surprised if I only make Platform Pop Up cards for the foreseeable future!
