Hello!
I am so excited to share today’s card with you! It is based on my current favourite game and obsession, Animal Crossing!
I am VERY late to hop in this train. It’s my fault, I kept telling my husband we don’t need a Switch as I’ll be a huge distraction. We got one eventually (and I was right, it’s super distracting!).
We have a small handful of games, but animal crossing is most definitely my favourite at the moment. It’s such a sweet game and reminds me a lot of all my favourite accepts of games I used to play before the kids came along.
For those of you who also play, you’ll instantly recognise cheeky Tom Nook, dragging his huge bag of bells. Is he off to spend them? Bury them? Maybe he himself is drowning in debt like we experience early in the game before hitting it big in the turnip market!
On the other side of this scene is an adorable little balloon, present attached, floating towards us from across the ocean!
This background was so much fun to create! I feel like it’s been a really long time since I’ve made an ink blended background. I’m glad I haven’t completely lost my touch – these colours blending together so beautifully!
I framed this card with my Tropical Leaves Border die by Lawn Fawn. When using this die, I’m always sure to run it through my diet machine twice to ensure all of those little details are cut nicely. For this card, I layered this piece twice for sturdiness and dimension.
I hope you love this card as much as I loved making it!
