Hello!
It’s time for another Lawn Fawn Fans YouTube hop! For this hop, myself and a group of wonderfully talented crafters bring you YouTube tutorials featuring our favourite brand, Lawn Fawn, to give you lots of ideas and inspiration!
This hop is sponsored – more information on that below!
While this is the Winter Hop for 2022, being the only one in the group in the southern hemisphere, I tend not to do Winter themed crafts (I find it a little tricky to get in the mood when we’re sweating up a storm in the humidity here in Queensland), instead I went with the next biggest occasion on my list – Valentine’s Day!
I LOVE Valentine’s Day. Which is a little odd since we don’t ever do anything to celebrate this event. My daughters birthday is early February, my birthday is mid February, we’re often still feeling like we’re receiving from the Christmas break so we’re not fussed on buying gifts for this holiday. If anything, we have a small picnic in the lounge room with lots of snacks with our two little ones and feel that’s enough.
There’s just something about the pinks, reds, hearts, glitter, chocolates and everything else that for me, makes it such a fun time to get crafty! Maybe its because all of my favourite dies, heart patterned papers and cutesy stamps all make an appearance. Maybe it’s because I’m still feeling energised with the beginning of a new year and this happens to be the first event that receives my full attention.
Either way, I can say that this project was so much fun to create and I am SO excited to share it with you!
I only recently purchased my Harold’s ABCs stamp set from Hobby Hoppers and I honestly don’t know how I’ve gone so long without an alphabet stamp set. I used it so many times in this project, and can’t wait to put it to good use again!
Instead of making a card for this hop, I decided to go with something a little different (which I’m finding is very typical of me for these hops). Inspired by all the words I could now create, I thought a Valentines themed Word Search would be so much fun!
Just like a lot of crafty people, I spend way too much time on Pinterest. When I kept seeing lots of “I Spy” games, I thought that be such a cute thing to make with Lawn Fawn stamps! I couldn’t decide on whether to make the Word Search or I Spy, so I settled on both!
To see how I made these two games, jump on over to my stop on the Lawn Fawn Fans YouTube Hop!
