Hello!
I’m so excited to share this month’s Hobby Hoppers Magic Maker project with you!
Today I’m showing how I made this adorable decorative dome with a 3D house using stamps and dies by my favourite stamping brand – Lawn Fawn!
When thinking of what to make for this month’s Hobby Hoppers project, I really wanted to make something special for Christmas. At first I was planning something along the lines of an ornament, but then my mind jumped to something 3D, and before I knew it – I was making an adorable little house with a scene inside!
I couldn’t go past incorporating my favourite little mice again. I just love how many mice there are across the Lawn Fawn stamp sets, giving us so many cute and fun poses to work with! For this project I picked two mice from my collection to decorate the tree.
My love for the little one has been shown in many projects and videos and in this piece, it’s reminding me very much of my son. Ever since he was little (just 11 weeks old for his first Christmas) he has been by my side as I decorate our tree on December 1st. He’s now 5 years old and such a wonderful helper with Christmas decorating, crafting and baking! I think this year he and I will need to make some paper snowflakes!
This project came together so beautifully. And while it wasn’t too fiddly, it’s a bit tricky for me to explain the steps in a blog post, so I’ve made a video for you! You can find it below.
