Hello!
It’s such an exciting time in the crafting world with so many companies bringing out their Halloween and Christmas (Fall/Winter for Northern Hemisphere crafters) releases!
While I was (not-so) patiently waiting for my new Lawn Fawn goodies from Hobby Hoppers to arrive, I found myself scrolling on instagram for inspiration to keep me busy and to use what was already in my stash.
That’s when I stumbled across this gorgeous card my Mirjam! I absolutely loved the way she used the costumes from the Happy Howloween stamp set and combined them with the critters from Scootin By!
You know by now how I feel about the Lawn Fawn mice, they are my favourite! And when I saw Mirjam’s card I was instantly inspired to create a row of little mice in costume, scooting together as they collect their treats!
I have recently sorted through my stamps and dies and took note of what I haven’t given as much love to as I had hoped when purchasing. The Pivot Pop-Up die set looked like so much fun when it was released and I had planned to use it so much more than maybe once or twice. It’s been on the back of my mind for some time to think of a design that I can bring it out for.
When planning this card, I had first thought to simply decorate a card front like a street with the little mice in the foreground. I then remembered my promise to use the Pivot Pop-Up and before I knew it, this scene was created!
I just love the way this card came together, and put a rarely-used die set to work! I feel like although the mice are all created with the same stamp, I feel like their costumes bring out their sweet personalities!
In particular, the mouse in the fairy costume. It reminds me so much of my daughter, insisting on wearing costumes, dressing up and carrying more than her little toddler hands can hold.
If you would like to how this card come together, I have a video tutorial below for you!
