Hello!
Today I have this sweet, interactive card to share with you today!
This is the first time I have attempted making a spinning card. I have seen many amazing ones in the past, but I just haven’t felt like I had the right images to make one.
As you may know, I fussy cut a majority of my stamped images, so whatever character I go with, it needs to be easily cut out to keep the two pieces as similar as possible as I won’t have those perfectly made cuts that you get with metal dies.
This Germ Free Bear is adorable and has a nice simple shape to it, so I thought this cutie was the perfect candidate for my first attempt.
To ensure I could get the most seamless look possible, I picked out a party hat that wouldn’t have anything sticking out of the top in either direction.
One bear is holding a present, and when the interactive piece spins, the birthday cake is revealed!
As much as I love how this card turned out, I definitely need a little more practice or to find a different material to use in place of the fishing line. I think I may have started playing around with the interactive element before it had completely dried, it doesn’t quite sit and work how I would like it to. Gives me an excuse to make another!
If you would like to see how I created this card, I will leave the link to my YouTube video below.
