Hello!

Here is the latest addition to my 2020 Christmas card collection!

I am so glad that I’ve been having enough time to get these cards done to share with you! I just have SO many ideas – many more to come over the next few weeks!

Full disclosure – I made this card about a month or so ago. So not only am I wearing long sleeves in the video (a true indicator that it wasn’t filmed recently in this lovely Queensland heat!) but it also means this card is a little on the trickier side – not as quick and easy to make and replicate as some as the others I’ve been showing in the last few weeks.

I actually found this card quite difficult to make. Not only had a never tried a monochrome card before, but I’ve also never attempted one that has a flap to peek through to inside the card.

In the end, I think it turned out pretty good, but I definitely have some room for improvement.

I think my favourite part of this card would have to be the little Christmas lights. I like the way they look and stand out, only made possible by having the rest of the card front in shades of grey.

I also think the little scene on the inside of the card is very cute, but for me it’s another area that could be improved on. If I were to make this again, I probably wouldn’t make it so “defined” by having the scene on circles of paper, I’d spread the scene out and directly into the card base.

I hope you liked this card! If you’ve made something similar before and have any tips for me, please leave a comment!
