Today I have something super cute to share with you!
One of my friends will soon be having her first baby! I’ve been planning on making her a card for quite some time but couldn’t pick a theme until I saw some photos of the nursery – cacti and alpacas (or maybe they are llamas, I haven’t thought to ask!).
I was immediately inspired by the patterns and colours and set to work on this card.
Below is a quick, time lapse video of how I made the background for this card using distress Oxide inks.
The colours used here are: Peacock Feathers, Dried Marigold and Mustard Seed. With a quick spray of water and a flick of Liquid Star Dust and some watered down Spiced Marmalade ink, this background was ready to use!
I used some of my favourite stamp sets to create this card: Year 10, Llama Tell You and Little Bundle.
A loved making this card using a colour scheme that you typically wouldn’t find on a baby girl card.
