Well the event that I was SO excited about to kick off the Christmas season has been and gone.

It was such a wonderful experience and I’m sad it was over with so quickly.

Today I am sharing the photos of the amazing foods created for our very first Christmas Treat Exchange!

The night before, we set the bench, ready for everyone’s treats! I loved making decorations for this event! Check out how I made the little wooden boards here: https://www.whirledofpapercraft.com/2019/11/17/mini-wooden-christmas-boards/

As everyone arrived they set up their treats with enough for each person to take two or more of each of them home. Mum and my sister then took the leftovers to chop up for everyone to take their tasting samples.

To make things a little more interesting, we decided to spring a friendly competition on our guests.

Before the event, I wrote and printed some voting sheets that we noted our favourites on while sampling the delicious food. Here are some photos of the amazing things we got to taste!

Delicious and adorable!
I could honestly eat the whole batch – so yum!
So festive! Suited the event perfectly.
These were mine! I think I need to make another batch before Christmas just for me!
Nothing beats pistachios in Christmas food!
So festively decorated!

Here are the three winners for the day!

In 3rd place we had this delicious Lolly Cake Slice. I hadn’t tried Lolly Cake until this event and now I’m hooked! It was just so delicious, I wish I had snuck a few extra slices in my container.
In 2nd place we had these amazing Christmas Tree Cookies! You can see just how much effort went into these cookies just by looking at them. They weren’t just for show – these cookies tasted just as awesome as they looked!
In first place, we had these delicious Christmas Balls.
They were made in two flavours – both equally amazing!

We had some small prizes to surprise each of our winners, but I made sure everyone left with something cute – the cute award ribbons that I have previously posted (I’ll post the link on how I made them!). https://www.whirledofpapercraft.com/2019/11/23/christmas-treat-exchange/

It was so cool to see everyone pick their ribbons and put them on straight away, I definitely plan on making different ones for each year we host this event – that way those who join us every year will end up with a collection of ribbons to remember the fun we had together!

I can’t wait for next year’s exchange already!

Have you ever hosted an Exchange? I’d love to hear about it! What is your go-to recipe?
